The coveted...
...Vervaine is back!! For those of you who do not know this was the colorway that began my Tea and Yarn Club years ago. It is my most requested colorway and I only dye it about one time per year, sometimes more if I get requests. Why you ask? Because it takes me 5 times as long to dye this colorway, it is hand painted in 1-3 inch sections. I don't hand paint any other colorway, so my studio is not set up for it. It's kind of a hassle to tell you the truth.
I'm offering it in 2 bases, Seella, a super strong Superwash BFL and Nylon blend with 470 yards and Lublu Sock a scrumptious and soft Superwash Merino and Nylon blend.
Get yours reserved today!

Giveaway #9
Up for grabs this week is a most beautiful skein!! I am keeping one for myself and plan to make a 2 color shawl for my Mom with it.
This particular skein that I'm giving away has some over-twisted strands in it. Not sure how long, but it doesn't look to bad at all! It is Luminosity (Superwash Merino, Bamboo and Nylon).
FYI: Just so you know, the second person drawn for the winner on Giveaway #7 was the winner. I still have not heard from the winner of Giveaway #8. So, you still have a chance at #8 if they don't come forward by Thursday!
If you are chosen the winner I will post on Friday in a separate post, you are responsible for contacting me by the following Thursday or I will draw another winner. angela@allforloveofyarn.com
To enter please leave a comment below!

Name this Yarn Contest!
I need a name for a new yarn that I'm going to be carrying.
It is 80/20 BFL (Bluefaced Leicester)/Nylon
I have a BFL/Nylon (Seella) yarn already, but this one is distinctively different and will be less expensive.
It is a 2 ply, with a nice twist and super soft.
4 ounces - 115 grams
400 yards
If I choose your name you will get a skein of the August colorway, which the yarn is featured in here:
I have a kind of theme with my names....
The more luxury yarns have luxurious names like, Opulence, Resplendence, Sumptuosity, etc. and the others I used a Russian theme, Lublu = love, Nogi = feet, Seella = strong. I'm willing to go off the themes, but if you think of one like this that would be great, too!
To enter leave a comment with your name suggestion and also your Ravelry ID, so that I can easily get a hold of you if I chose your name. I'll give you until the end of August!
Have fun!
Angela

Romi selection giveaway!
I've got a fun one for you; especially if you want to knit Romi's upcoming design in the colorways that she choose! No better time for the giveaway than right now, don't you think?!
Durring the process of dying lots and lots of Coyote Trail I have a stray that cannot be sold. It's got a 3rd end and I have no idea nor do I want to find out where it came from. It could be simple, it could be complex. I'll let one of you find out!
Leave a comment and you could win it.
It will be the winners responsibility to contact me within 1 week or I'll draw another winner.
angela@allforloveofyarn.com
DEADLINE to enter is December 5th. I'll draw the winner on December 6th, St. Nicholas Day!
Good Luck!

December Twilight
A few months ago I was commissioned to do a special colorway for Lila & Claudine's Advent Knit a-long.
This was the inspirational photo they sent to me. I love getting inspiration like this to replicate it in yarn. It's the challenging part of my fantastic job. With 1 practice lot on a different base I tweaked it when I dyed it on the yarn they wanted. Opulence Fingering: Superwash Merino, Cashmere and Nylon. A fantastic yarn which I love!
The yarn is flying off the shelf at Lila & Claudine's; they have re-ordered twice, everyone loves it! I'm sending them more tomorrow in hopes that it will arrive on Saturday, the first day of the KAL.
"December Twilight"
They have chosen 20 easy scarf patterns. You get to decide how many repeats
you do of each stitch pattern. The Knit a-long will begin on
December 1, offering 20 days of patterns segments, giving you some flexibility with your time.
They are including a daily devotion for you to incorporate
into your knitting time or not, your choice.
If you want to participate there is still time, contact Lila & Claudine's to get in on this great KAL!
Their phone number is: 651-429-9551
If they run out of yarn you know who to contact! angela@allforloveofyarn.com

The Secret...
is out!
Romi of Designs by Romi is designing a shawl with my yarn. Romi choose the first colorway combo pictured and I cannot wait to see the finished design. I have no idea, well, no more idea than any of you readers, what she is doing with it. I only know what she posts on her blog...it's kind of fun being in on the anticipation with you.
Here are the colorway combos that I paired up for the release of this latest pattern from Romi. I really don't know how she does it; one great pattern after the next!

All of this yarn is Opulence Fingering, 80/10/10 Superwash Merino/Cashmere/Nylon. It has a great tight twist and super soft and squishy!
Coyote Trail & Dawn Pink
(Romi's brilliant color combo choice)
Smoldering Red & Halifax Shore
(Halifax Shore is an old favorite, but jazzed up a bit for this special pairing.)
Symphony & Tropica
Citrus Orange & Up North
(Up North was inspired by a recent trip up north (Duluth, Minnesota) in the peak of autumn.)
Greek Olives & Cabernet
(This pairing is a special one; my Mom choose these for a Kleio about 1.5 years ago. She is the only only one with the combo and gets so many compliments I had to go with it.)
The photo of my Mom's Kleio is not the greatest, but you get the idea. It was also dyed on a mostly alpaca yarn so it is lighter than the Opulence, which is mostly a superwash merino.

Giveaway #1 of 6!
Since moving to a new city I'm finally making my way through my office. Yes, I have my very own space!! I do love this very much.
I have found some yarn that I cannot sell, so I'm giving it to some of you lucky readers.
The first skein up is a 1 of the green/blue Seella. It is a 75/25 Superwash BFL/Nylon. Most excellent for socks! When I was dyeing it the red dye broke and left it's mark, so you'll find little red spots throughout the yarn. Not terrible, but not worth of selling.
Leave me a comment and I will draw a winner with Random.org next Monday/Tuesday.

I've decided...
...on the name of both of my new yarns! Thank you, thank you for your suggestions!!
LUMINOSITY for the bamboo blend (Suggested by Emily)
and
SERENDIPITY for the alpaca, wool and silk single. I think it fits perfectly, isn't a single ply yarn a happy accident in a way, it was just so good the way it was they couldn't dare give it another ply! (Suggested by Nicole)
Please contact me for your prizes! SURPRISE! I think I will give a skein to both of you!

New Yarns...
...are coming and one is called Luminosity, it has sparkles! It's like my Lublu yarn with a nice tight twist and the fiber content is: 75% Superwash Merino, 20 Nylon, and 5% Stellina (the sparkle!) I don't have any dyed at the moment, but I do have plans to do so. I have a few custom orders before I can get to it.
The other two new yarns I'm going to try out before I add them to my regular line up are a BFL sock yarn 75/25 Blue Faced Leicester/Nylon coming in at 460 yards and Sumptuosity Lace weight which is Baby Alpaca, Silk and Cashmere coming in at 1300 yards.
Just wanted to give you the heads up, I might be needing a few test knitters and I'll post for those in my Ravelry Group.

Slowly...
...but surely I'll get these socks done. I couldn't wait to get these started knowing I had a ton a yarn to dye for the upcoming fiber show, knitting a sweater for David, and too many other things to list here! I really love how the yarn is knitting up. I'm so glad I kept a skein for myself! I have the toe done, plus a few more rows and I'm sure my friend doing the green socks is almost done with the first sock by now! She's awesome and very speedy! Thank you Judi!
Oh, oh, I didn't mention that this is my October Phat Fiber contribution. I'm doing yarn and fiber this month, as well as last month.
Steampunk is the theme and I did this colorway on yarn first with some left over dyes and I loved it so much and it fit right in with steampunk, so I did it again on another yarn base and this fiber, all turned out fabulous. I'm so pleased with it.
One more photo, David's sweater, I saw this book when I was pregnant with him and said, I'm going to make that for a son someday, I just loved the pattern and still do. Fair Isle is, well, let's just say tangley! I'm not sure that is even a word, spell check doesn't have it...

Almost every afternoon when David is napping, I stop everything I am doing and sit down on the couch, (knitting in hand) with Katya. It's our time together, just her and I, because before David was born that's what we had all the time and she loves it, we read books; I read to her or she likes to "read" to me. Sometimes we'll watch a movie, Cinderella being her most favorite. Sometimes if I'm lucky Katya will fall asleep, too! It's getting rare that they take naps at the same time anymore, since Katya doesn't nap much anymore anyway. It is a very refreshing time and keeps me going for the rest of the day, I have come to really enjoy it and look forward to it, despite all the things that need to get done. They can wait and are not going anywhere, unfortunately!
A few side notes of the day:
David is now almost 17 months old and he can get the child safety locks open, you know the one's that are suppose to keep the kids out of the bathroom cupboard doors and drawers? Yes, he sticks his little finger in there and pushed down just right and is so pleased with himself, I can't help but smile. I can't get the darn things open most of the time!
Today we were at the park and I always bring a snack a long, but leave it in the car or bike trailer and we go and get it after we've played a while. So, we went to the car, got the snack and Katya is running back to the picnic table waiting for us slow pokes, David and I. On the way back, I told David: "We have to go and sit by Katya so we can have our snack". He stopped, and carefully sat himself down right in the middle of the blacktop parking lot and wouldn't move! He wanted his snack! He was sitting after all, this is a house rule, we sit at the table or on the kitchen floor to eat, not running around the house. He's learning fast, too fast sometimes!

Congratulations...
...ZoePaige for your wonderful photograph of the Saskatoon Berries. It was my pleasure to dye this yarn because purple is one of my favorite colors. I think it turned out really wonderfully, first try, too! Lately this has been very challenging when I'm going for a certain colorway.
Since I wanted to do a semi solid I narrowed in on the dark purple/blue and the yarn is very rich in color; I just love it! Here is a sneak peak and it is listed in the shop.
