Tea + Cake + Yarn =

The TeaCake Knitters... I'm starting a knitting group with some friends once a month and I'll be serving delicious tea, scrumptious cake and we'll play with yummy yarn! I will be teaching something about yarn or knitting as well.  I plan on posting what I teach, the yummy recipe for the cake and the kind of tea, which I would like to also use for a colorway inspiration for my yarn. My first colorway is here. Our first meeting is June 9th. The second Wednesday of the month. I think I will make chocolate cake with ganache frosting and top it with strawberries, they are in season in June, unless I find something different in the mean time. I will have to use raspberries in August - oh, I can't wait!
So, the post cards go out tomorrow...now I'll work on some yarn and knitting education for the first meeting.
Until soon,
Angela

A mess...

...but it kept the kids occupied while I cleaned the bathroom! My husband doesn't understand that I sometimes let the kids make a mess so I can actually get something done without their help, and oh, they love to clean the bathroom, especially the toilet! It's often easier to clean up the mess later, no, it's not always wasteful, I did re-use most of the Kleenex! David was surprised when I peeked my head around the corner and then he beamed with pride as if saying, Katya did it, I was just playing with the puzzle, see Mom! Yes, Katya did help!!

Phat Fiber...

...I am so excited to be participating in the Phat Fiber box for the first time this beautiful month of May.  I have the perfect yarn for the theme, Blossoms and Bark, so I just couldn't not do it!  Here's a sneak peak! It is Kaleidoscope on Lublu, 100% Superwash Merino. It has 3 different pinks, light and dark purple, orange, green and brown. It's a beauty and soon I'll have a pair of socks so you can see what it looks like all knitted up!

Thank you...

...thank you to all of you who purchased yarn from me at Shepherd's Harvest Fiber Festival this past weekend. I appreciate your support so very much; there was so much to choose from; so thank you for choosing mine!  I hope you enjoy your purchase; I would love to see what you make with it some day on Ravelry; it is exciting to see it turn into something special.

Thank you and Happy Knitting...

We are off to...

...Shepherd's Harvest tomorrow, bright and early in the morning. I will be closing up my Etsy shop because I'm taking all of my yarn with me to hopefully sell. I will reopen on Monday with what I have left over from the festival; hopefully not much left and then I'll have to get to the dye pot quickly! Until then, Happy Knitting...Angela

One year ago today...

...I awoke the same time I did today, 5 am, this time it was much more pleasant! I was lying in between my 2 beautiful sleeping children! It is David's first birthday today! After a short 4 hour labor David was in my arms! He is now happily playing at my feet. A very happy baby indeed, a blessing and joy to our family!
