Spring 2013...

...Tea and Yarn Club is now up for sale!

Tea and Yarn Club

Spring 2013

March - April - May

You will receive 1 two ounce package of Teavana Tea per month with 1 skein of corresponding yarn of your choice, including Lace, Fingering and Worsted.

The colorway will be inspired by the tea of the month.

Each colorway will be a minimal pooling colorway, whether it be variegated, tonal or nearly solid. I dye them according to the yarn, for example if it's lace weight it will be a nearly solid.

International buyers! The teas are factory sealed so they are safe and get through customs just fine.

You have the option to purchase more yarn in addition to the regular subscription before or after you receive your shipment! These will be available 1-2 weeks after shipment.

Limited quantities available!

Tea and Yarn...

...January only is now listed in the shop and there is just 1 available. It usually sells quickly, so snag it now if you want it!

In case you are wondering what the benefit might be if you purchase the 3 month club I'll fill you in. The price for the 3 month club is reduced and I'll be putting little extras in the packages, most of the time knitting related, sometimes not, it will be a nice surprise. You will also get to see new yarns first hand and sometimes never before seen in my shop at a reduced priced! Rest assured they are very good quality yarns and knitter tested!

I have the Summer Tea and Yarn Club listed as well in my shop, and if you don't think tea is so good for summer, try it on ice. I think the Teavana teas are so good on ice, especially on a hot summer day. Did you know that mixing the teas for a fun new flavor is exciting, too. I ounce bought a tea that I didn't care for very much on it's own, but I mixed it with another and it was amazingly good! So, no wasted money there, just by mixing them up a bit you'll be creating new flavors of your own.

I'm off to brew myself a cup of Swiss Vervaine, it's cold this morning!

Giveaway! PITA...

...yep, I've got another one. It's bound to happen when I'm re-skeining a lot of yarn getting ready for this festival on Saturday. I can't wait, it's getting exciting!

This time it's a worsted weight, semi-solid navy blue coming in at 135 yards/75grams.

I would like you to tell me what you would like to see in a sock yarn club. I'm thinking about doing one totally custom for each customer, send me your photographs and we'll go from there kind of thing.

What about a worsted weight yarn club for those of you who don't like fingering weight much?

Talk about how much you would be willing to pay for your ideas, thoughts.

Last day to comment is Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Thanks!

I have 1 skein...

...of the September Tea and Yarn club for sale in the shop. For those of you who really wanted to purchase the entire club, but just couldn't. This is for you! This month's colorway is very likely not repeatable, I have only 1 skein left for sale with the tea. It took me 3 tries to get it right this month, I like a very good balance; I like it represent the tea as best I can and also be a pleasant colorway, especially when knitted into a garment. It is a delicate balance and very challenging sometimes! It is so satisfying when I put the package in the mail to my customers knowing that this is the best, which represents the tea and the yarn alone is beautiful, tea or not!

A little yarn for our...

...wild side! Here's a peak at what I'm doing today. I changed the original World of Color up a bit and put in black instead of white! It's in the pot now and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's dry and re-skeined! I still have 2 of the original in my shop. These 2 here are superwash merino and cashmere, yum, yum!

July is almost...

...half over already! It will be time to choose the top 3 photographs for my monthly colorway contest! It is going to be a tough decision, all of the entries are really good and inspirational! There are a few days left to enter the contest, so get your cameras out or go through your images and send me a photo that you think will make beautiful yarn! You don't have to be an experienced photographer for this contest;  it's not the quality, but the color content that I'm looking for! Scroll down a few posts for more details because on July 17th you could see your photo as one of the top 3 to vote on! Good Luck! ~ Angela

I'm having a contest...

...where you will be the inspiration for a new colorway! Here's how it will work:

I want you to send me your beautiful photographs, we here at All For Love Of Yarn will narrow the photos down to the 3 that I think I can produce the most beautiful yarn colorway. Then it is up to you to vote on which one you like the best and that will be turned into yarn, on the base of my choice, that will work best for the colorway. The winner of the favorite photo will win 1 full skein (around 400 yards, either fingering or sport weight) of yarn in the new colorway! This is a sock yarn club listed in my SHOP.

Rules:
Submission of photos:
July 1st through July 15th. Submissions before and after these dates will not be accepted.
Photo Specifications:
One entry/photo per person.
It might be posted on my blog, so don't send anything you don't want the public to see.
Photo must be taken by you, not snagged from the internet.
Photo cannot be of yarn.
Respectful and tasteful photographs please.
No person's faces please.
I have all rights to accept or not accept any photo for any reason without explanation.
Jpeg format, around 1200 pixels wide
Send  photos to: allforloveofyarn@gmail.com
Include with your email a name I can use on my blog to give you credit for the photo.

Voting will be July 17th through 27th. I will post the top 3 photos and you will have a chance to vote on your favorite, the one you would like to see turned into some beautiful socks! The winner will be announced before the end of July.

I will dye the yarn inspired by the winning photograph and the winner will receive one skein at the beginning of August, sometime before the 15th of the month.  It will be a fingering/sock weight in either hand painted variegated, kettle dyed variegated, solid, or semi-solid, my choice.
