...Enduring Sock
It's a bad one this time! The steamer ran dry and part of one skein has been fried! It could be useful to someone, though. This colorway is a best seller, I call it Warm.
Leave a comment and the winner will be drawn on Friday! The winner is responsible for contacting me to receive the yarn.
1 skein is up for grabs!!

Name this Yarn Contest!
I need a name for a new yarn that I'm going to be carrying.
It is 80/20 BFL (Bluefaced Leicester)/Nylon
I have a BFL/Nylon (Seella) yarn already, but this one is distinctively different and will be less expensive.
It is a 2 ply, with a nice twist and super soft.
4 ounces - 115 grams
400 yards
If I choose your name you will get a skein of the August colorway, which the yarn is featured in here:
I have a kind of theme with my names....
The more luxury yarns have luxurious names like, Opulence, Resplendence, Sumptuosity, etc. and the others I used a Russian theme, Lublu = love, Nogi = feet, Seella = strong. I'm willing to go off the themes, but if you think of one like this that would be great, too!
To enter leave a comment with your name suggestion and also your Ravelry ID, so that I can easily get a hold of you if I chose your name. I'll give you until the end of August!
Have fun!

Giveaway #5 of 6!
Here's what I've got this week:
This week I've got another special skein for you! It is 1 skein of 60/40 Corriedale/Angora in Sport/DK, 200 yards. It's not labeled. The yarn is from Angora Gardens, they have wonderful yarns from their own sheep and rabbits!!
The yarn is heavenly to knit with; I designed the Castle Garden hat with it. They have been friends of our family for many, many years. Unfortunately their website is down right now.
Leave me a comment and I will draw a winner with Random.org next Monday/Tuesday.
The winner is responsible for contacting me to collect the yarn within 1 week or else the yarn goes to someone else!
Giveaway #4 Winner
Thanks much!

Giveaway # 4 of 6!
Here's what I've got this week:
This week I've got a special skein for you! It is 1 skein of Lublu Sport 100% Superwash Merino. The special thing about this skein is that it is one of my first hand painted skeins (I don't hand paint anymore because I hate pooling.) I've got a better technique that I use that still gives me great color, but minimal pooling! Anyway this colorway is Autumn Smoke. I knit up a pair of socks with this yarn a while back and they turned out great, not too much pooling either. Oh! - the base for this yarn is Louet Gems.
Leave me a comment and I will draw a winner with Random.org next Monday/Tuesday.
The winner is responsible for contacting me to collect the yarn within 1 week or else the yarn goes to someone else!
Giveaway #3 Winner

Giveaway #1 of 6!
Since moving to a new city I'm finally making my way through my office. Yes, I have my very own space!! I do love this very much.
I have found some yarn that I cannot sell, so I'm giving it to some of you lucky readers.
The first skein up is a 1 of the green/blue Seella. It is a 75/25 Superwash BFL/Nylon. Most excellent for socks! When I was dyeing it the red dye broke and left it's mark, so you'll find little red spots throughout the yarn. Not terrible, but not worth of selling.
Leave me a comment and I will draw a winner with Random.org next Monday/Tuesday.

P.I.T.A.S.
Here's a messed up skein up for grabs. When I was re-skeining I went to cut the dye-ties and I accidentally cut the yarn! Yikes, never done that before...so there's knot number one.
Knot number two came almost half way through when it got tangled up in itself. I don't have time to waste so I cut it; that's why you see two skeins. It's a few yards short, but not by much.
The yarn is Opulence: Merino/Cashmere/Nylon...lucky for you! It's a fingering weight in a lovely dusky purple coming at over 400 yards.
My question for you is this:
Spinners: When you purchase fiber how many ounces do you like to buy in one colorway, including Top and Batts?
Not a spinner? That's okay, tell me what type of yarn you'd love to see in my shop.
I will draw the lucky winner on Monday, February 7th. I will post the winner and you will be responsible to contact me for the prize. If I don't hear from you within 1 week I will draw again for a new winner!
Thank you and Good Luck!

The Winner is...
...Lilly from Helen Georgia with her beautiful and very inspirational Autumn Path photo. This photo was taken on Lilly's wedding day! What a beautiful place for a wedding and thank you so much for submitting it. Lilly, you can expect your skein in the mail soon!
My favorite photo was the Bluebird, so you'll be seeing some yarn in the shop like it soon. Since this one didn't capture my eye as quickly as the Bluebird I thought long and hard about how I wanted to dye the yarn for Autumn Path. I have been on a similar path in Russia and thought about how I felt when I walked on it. I remember feeling the bristling of the turning leaves and smelling the fresh and crisp air of autumn. I wanted it be a soft color, like the soft leaves, yet I wanted it to capture the brilliant colors of the leaves and ground. I didn't want it too contrasting so that it flows nicely in a knitted piece. I imagine walking and seeing the dark ground with most of the color all around me. I went from there and I think I have a beautiful landscape on the yarn! Here is a sneak peak!
Now, I need your help again! I'm terrible at naming my yarn, it's the worst part of my job actually. So, leave a comment and tell me what you think it should be called! Thank you to all who participated this month; I look forward to next month's photos! Keep em' coming!
I've decided to keep it's original name, I don't know why I thought it had to be renamed anyway! So, it's called Autumn Path, how could we come up with a better one really? Silly me!

July is almost...
...half over already! It will be time to choose the top 3 photographs for my monthly colorway contest! It is going to be a tough decision, all of the entries are really good and inspirational! There are a few days left to enter the contest, so get your cameras out or go through your images and send me a photo that you think will make beautiful yarn! You don't have to be an experienced photographer for this contest; it's not the quality, but the color content that I'm looking for! Scroll down a few posts for more details because on July 17th you could see your photo as one of the top 3 to vote on! Good Luck! ~ Angela
