...it's finally done! Vervaine, my most popular colorway is not my favorite, in fact I don't really like it all. Why I spun it I don't know...well maybe for a show sample? Not sure yet, I really don't want to knit with it! I started spinning it months ago and it went on and on, never ending. I'm so happy it's done, I almost had to force myself to finish it.
This is the only colorway that I hand-paint and I do it with short repeats, so I wanted to spin this pretty fine to get some long color for a shawl perhaps or striped socks would be cool.
The fiber is 80/20 Merino/Silk and pretty easy to spin fine.
I ended up with 670 yards, 3.7 ounces! My very best spin!!
