...giveaway for you! I haven't done one in a long time I thought it would be fun! Up for grabs is a drop spindle, 2 types of fiber, 1 batt and 1 combed top coming in at 1.6 oz total. A scissors on a necklace and a knitted bag for your spindle and fiber. (I did not make the bag in case you are wondering.)
So, visit my shop, leave me a comment and let me know how I'm doing. What you like about it and what I could improve on.
Thank you; I learn the most from you! Winner will be drawn by random.org on Monday!

Wow. I would say keep doing what you are doing. Your color ways are fabulous and to die for.
ReplyDeleteYour price seem VERY reasonable! Great yardage! Love all the silk. biddy05 (rav)
ReplyDeleteYour etsy shop is full of gorgeuos stuff. Beautiful yarn and fiber and lovely pictures. Few of the pictures have a flash glare (or atleast I am assuming that's what it is) which affects the actual colors of the yarn.

I love your colorways. I must admit that I try to stay out of your store because your stuff is just too tempting. It's getting more and more difficult to resist! But that's exactly how it should be when you are doing things right. The only thing you could do to "improve" would be to get the fiber through the screen and in my hands to feel it before buying it. Every time I touch your stuff some of it comes home with me - I think the last 3 times I visited the Yarnery this happened! Now that I have some of your fiber in hand, this only makes your Etsy store all the more dangerous. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI like your store, the pictures are very nice, colors seem true to color. I love the braids!

Hi Angela,
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful yarns. I love the feel of them - the surface is silky smooth and the texture is so full of bounce. I haven't tried your fiber (yet!), but I imagine that will only be a matter of time. Unfortunately, my budget is such that I can only indulge when you have a sale. So, thank you for the sales!

Your store is great. It was my first visit, I fav'ed it so I can return. Love the beautiful roving. Yarns are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, I think your shop looks nice and well organized. I like that you have capitalized the items in the sidebar on the left, that makes it easy to find things. The photographs show the colours brightly, but I do find that there seems to be a bit of glare in some of them. It must be really hard to photograph colours accurately, and I am not sure what to suggest in order to minimize the glare. It's just something I noticed.
ReplyDeleteThe yarn and fiber looks gorgeous, nonetheless!!
Oh my goodness. Your shop makes me want to learn to spin ASAP! Your yarns look scrumptious. My eyes certainly did enjoy the feast! My only thought for improvement was more of the description showing under the pics, but I don't know if there's anything you can do to fix that. The sidebar categories really help to navigate. Rav amchart
ReplyDeleteGorgeous items in your shop! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteLindacee (also my rav name)
Lovely stuff! The tea theme is interesting :)
ReplyDeleteOne idea - I really enjoy seeing a swatch...especially with variegated yarn.

I love your 25 Dollars OFF TEA and YARN Club Fingering and think it's a great idea, the colors are exactly right, I did however find it hard to know which colors were which, that may be me though lol

What you are doing right is to make my fingers want to dive into the fibers to feel them and pet the yarn! I haven't yet learned to spin, hence my desire to win the spindle & fiber, but your display really adds to the yen. Good shop display & great yarn & colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you choose and the pictures are just gorgeous. I favorited your shop :)
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly new to spinning but I was practically licking the screen because the colors are so luscious! I haven't seen your shop before but it's definately in my favorites now!
ReplyDeleteI love your yarn photos - there is so much depth to them and you can really see the details. If I had to give a critique, I'd say that the batting/spinning fiber photos need to achieve the same crisp result. If you could, I'd love for you to expand your color palette to see more yellows and pinks - you're very heavy in the darker richer shades of fall and winter so a bit more spring and summer would be lovely. Oh and more DK weight and up would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteOver all, it's a nice store and I like it very much.
OH. YUM! I favorited your shop! You've got a great selection of products there. Maybe some more patterns to go with some of the yarns you sell? Love it! Will be back!!
ReplyDeleteI really like your shop. The pictures of the yarn is great. All of the colors looks beautiful. It is hard to choose a favorite. The 4 of a Kind colorway in the luminosity hand dyed 75% superwash merino wool/20 bamboo/10 nylon fingering/sock yarn kept calling to me.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of pretty things in your store. I love some of your batts and roving. I've marked you for my upcoming etsy shopping trip.
ReplyDeleteYour etsy shop looks great! The only thing that could be better is you banner. It's dark and hard to see the words. Other than that, I love it! All your stuff is photgraphed really well and your stuff looks amazing! Debbie H gussek on Ravelry

Holy CROW, your page is full of GREAT stuff! This was my first time visiting your shop, but let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised! As for a suggestion on how you can improve though, I think your banner should be a picture FULL of yarn, and then write over the photograph with your information. More yarn in banners seems to make me want to check out the page more often. I love yarn so much!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try spinning. I picked up some fiber at a yarn swap, but don't have a spindle and am having trouble finding a decent one in my price range, so if by some miracle I win, it will definitely be put to good use!
Yum yum yum!!! Wish I had some extra money in my budget at the moment! Love the colors!

Beautiful stuff in your shop! You've taken very nice photos, which I find is important. I've foavortied your shop and will be back!

ooooh those batts look lickable!!!
ReplyDeletefrogpeak@hotmail.com
I love the blends that you have. I am torn - oh so torn - between Opulance and Luminosity - so, when I get to splurge - I want to try both. I am so in love with your green/brown colorway! I must say that I'm fighting the urge to get creative on you with colorway names!! Ha! Next contest? "Help me name my colorways!"

Beautiful colors! You have some great looking yarns and batts.
ReplyDeletei love your batts..i just recently got serious about spinning and trying new things and fibers and im on a bit of a batt kick right now..i think its a great way to try new fibers textures and add ins :) raineoc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of your fiber and have enjoyed spinning it. Your colours are as I like them, muted and deep.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!

I really like your shop. The photos of your fiber and yarn are so nice and clear. I also like the way you have things listed down the side by catagories for a quick go-to if needed. Such beautiful yarns! Keep up the great work.

I adore your fiber. I'm currently spinning a braid of Polwarth/Silk and it's wonderful. Your colors are divine, and the bases are luscious. I'm trying to justify joining the lovely vervaine SAL/KAL....
ReplyDeleteVery nice selection! Looks like you're doing a great job. I have used Opulence before & really like it! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI think your shop is fantastic. I love the colors and variety. I love the low shipping cost and the pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your shop! Your presentation is fabulous, and as another mentioned, your shipping cost is low, and your colors are delicious! I'll have to join your yarn club at some point, because it looks divine.

I favored your shop because I love the selection you have and the colors. Everything is set up so nice

I love the big selection of fiber and yarn you have in your shop.
ReplyDeleteI adore your work. The pics are fabulous. :)

I think you do beautiful work. I love the colors you make. I've not tried your yarn, but your fiber was delicious to spin.
ReplyDeleteAs far as improvement goes....I think you might make the banner in your shop a bit lighter or play with the color of the lettering so that the words pop a bit more. Also...I really like verbal descriptions of color ways. Like what knit picks has. Computer monitors aren't all equally calibrated so a note saying that a color is purple with more blue in it or purple with more red in it for example is helpful. And your colors are so rich and complex...it would be fun to read what is in them!
I love the colors - am going to have to save up to get a couple of skeins
ReplyDeleteYour prices are reasonable, the colors you offer are absolutely gorgeous and the layout flows nicely. I found a few skeins of sock yarn that I am going to need to purchase when I get paid. :)
ReplyDeleteJust a couple things:
ReplyDeleteYour welcome message: the first part of this shows up in google (etc) searches. If all the first bit says is "welcome," that doesn't really tell people what your store sells, what's awesome about it, etc. It seems counterintuitive, but it's actually best (according to the etsy people) to have a description of your store in the first little part. Your store name is excellent for that though!
I also like how you sections are organized.
All of your yarns and fibers are beautiful, but I would change the welcome message to something that explains your shop and what you do
ReplyDeletedobbylvr on rav
You have some really lovely yarn and fiber.
ReplyDeleteLove your shop and the wonderful yarns you have. I only wish I could knit faster:))
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful! I wish I could reach into my monitor and squish some of those fibers. I like the close-up shots on plain light backgrounds so it's easy to see the colors and fibers, and I really like how some of the yarns have photos with a FO made with that yarn so I can see what it might look like when I use it. Seeing a knit object on a page that sells yarn, or a skein of handspun on a page that sells fiber, makes me want the item even more. :)

Love the variety of colors you have and think your photos capture them well. I would really like to see your tea colors in a heavier weight!
